Can You Really Change a Lifelong Pattern in Seven Weeks? Your REWIRE Questions Answered
Registration for REWIRE closes on October 15th. Over the past few weeks, I’ve noticed the same questions coming up again and again, on the website, in my inbox, and probably in your own head. So I want to answer them honestly. That includes the parts that aren’t so easy to hear.
What does REWIRE actually involve?
When you sign up, a set of Yoga Tune Up therapy balls arrives at your door as your welcome gift. They’re my favorite tool for mothering ourselves mindfully (more on them below).
From there, we meet for seven live calls. The first one is Tuesday, October 27th at 1:00 PM Eastern. Each call mixes teaching, body-based practice and real-life application. I’d love for you to join live, because that’s where we tend to get the most out of it. But I know mom life, and sick kids and work deadlines happen. If you can’t make a call, block out an hour that week to watch the replay.
What you’ll mainly be doing for these seven weeks is living your life. We call it the Life Lab. REWIRE isn’t one more thing to add to your to-do list. You take what we learn and practice on our calls into the life you’re already living, and you notice your pattern as it shows up in real time.
The third piece is our community space, which has its own app. That’s where you share what you’re noticing, where you’re getting stuck, and what you need. I’m in there regularly, and I bring the common themes back into our live calls. After years of doing this work, I know this for sure: every time someone shares, it helps someone else.
I’ve done a lot of therapy and personal growth. How is this different?
Most of the women I work with are deeply self-aware. They’re insightful and well-read, and they can see their patterns clearly. But they don’t feel any different.
Usually what’s missing is the body. They’ve never really learned to understand what their body is telling them, or they don’t have a regular practice for turning toward it. REWIRE is where psychology, mindfulness, self-compassion, parts work, nervous system healing and yoga all come together. One woman in our community told me it was “literally the thing that brought all these puzzle pieces I thought were separate together.”
Can I really change a lifelong pattern in seven weeks?
I won’t promise that seven weeks will erase a lifelong pattern, or that you’ll never feel anxious or people-please again. And honestly, you wouldn’t want that. These patterns started as survival strategies. At some point, they protected you or helped you get your needs met.
What seven weeks does give you is the chance to take one specific pattern out of “I know I do this and I can’t seem to stop,” and start working with it in your body, not just your head. You’ll learn how to catch it, care for it in the moment, and do the groundwork ahead of time.
The goal isn’t to leave having permanently fixed yourself. The belief that you need fixing in the first place is part of what we’ll be rewiring together. The goal is to respond differently, more often, with less effort, and to leave with a process you can keep using long after we’re done.
How do I justify the investment?
I’d love for you to get curious about that word, justify. Money is loaded when it comes to patterns. Which unspoken rules are running the show? What counts as necessary versus indulgent? How much are you “allowed” to invest in yourself compared with your family or your house?
So many of us push our own needs to the next season, when things calm down and everyone needs us a little less. That season rarely arrives. So before you decide, ask yourself whether this is a clear, grounded “not right now,” or the familiar habit of putting yourself at the bottom of the list. And if there’s a real financial need, please reach out. No questions asked. We want this work to be accessible.
What pattern should I bring? Does it have to be about my kids?
Any pattern. There’s no right or wrong choice, and we’ll get clear on it together in the first week. If you’re worried about picking the “wrong” one, notice that worry. It might be part of the pattern.
You don’t have to bring a parenting problem either. I always say this work has everything and nothing to do with parenting. One of the most powerful things you can do for your kids is change what’s happening in you: what you model, how you respond when things get hard, and what they experience with you moment to moment.
I’m already overwhelmed. How much time will this take?
I won’t sugarcoat it: rewiring takes effort. We’re used to next-day delivery and instant answers, but there’s no shortcut when it comes to your body. You can’t get strong if you don’t lift the weight. The good news is that most of the work happens inside the life you’re already living.
What happens after seven weeks?
My hope is that you leave with something foundational: a process you can repeat and a whole new understanding of yourself and your patterns. Think of it like a gym for your nervous system. When we stop lifting the weight, we lose the muscle. If you want ongoing support, there will be ways to keep going in our community.
Replays stay available through the end of January. I used to offer unlimited access, but I realized I was part of the problem. Without an end date, “I’ll watch it later” never comes.
What’s the deal with the therapy balls?
My path into yoga started with Bikram, which for me was mostly another way to punish my body. Vinyasa came next, and it was gentler, but I was still disconnected from my body. Therapy balls changed that. They gave me a way into my body that movement couldn’t, and they finally connected what I knew in my head with how I actually felt.
At the most basic level, they’re self-massage tools for that sore neck or cranky glute. But in REWIRE, you’ll see how working with tension in your body can shift your emotional state and your mind. And best of all, you don’t have to hand your body over to someone else to do it.
Ready to REWIRE? Registration closes October 15th, and we begin October 27th. Learn more HERE. Please don’t sign up out of panic. Trust your own discernment. I hope to see you inside.
