Mothering Ourselves Mindfully: Nervous System Healing Program for Moms Returns in 2026

After 5 years, our signature program returns! Join Mothering Ourselves Mindfully – a 9-week cohort for moms ready to break generational patterns through nervous system healing. Enrollment opens Jan 2026.

I’m Sarah!

I’m a licensed mental health professional, mindfulness teacher, and mother. I offer tools and resources that empower you to show up as the parent (and human!) you want to be. Learn more.

hello,

I have news that’s making me absolutely grin as I write this: we’re bringing back the program that started it all.

On Mother’s Day 2020, in the early days of COVID, I launched the School of MOM with a six-week program called Mothering Oneself Mindfully. It was magical. That original group included women who are still in our community today, and they’ve been with me through every evolution, every pivot, and every “wait, what are we calling it now?” moment of this journey.

And now, nearly six years later, we’re coming full circle. But this time, it’s different. This time, I know exactly what the School of Mom is meant to be.

The Evolution of a Program (and a Teacher)

Over these five years, while I was creating various programs and offerings for my community, I was simultaneously deep in my own growth and learning. What started as foundational mindfulness and self-compassion work has expanded to include nervous system healing, understanding our biology, and awakening what I call the flourished mother – that part of us connected to pleasure, rest, boundaries, and cyclical living.

The women who have been with me from the beginning have walked this evolution alongside me, integrating new teachings as I learned and grew. And honestly? It’s been beautiful. Some of these women have done programs with me multiple times, each time deepening their understanding because they’re different, I’m different, and the work has matured.

But in this evolution, I realized something important: I’ve been journeying with the women who started at the beginning, but I’ve inadvertently left behind the women who have been ready and waiting to begin their own journey.

The Self-Paced Learning Reality Check

Here’s what I’ve learned about myself (and I’m guessing many of you relate): I don’t actually do programs if I have to do them on my own.

I can’t tell you how many courses I’ve signed up for with the absolute best intentions. “I’ll watch the videos when the kids go to bed.” “I’ll do it while I’m walking.” “This is the one I’ll actually complete.”

And then life happens. The videos sit unwatched. I even paid for CEU hours (I’m still a licensed therapist) for replays that I never watched, eventually paying for something live because I knew I would actually show up.

This isn’t a personal failing – it’s just how many of us are wired. We need that live component. We need community. We need accountability. We need the motivation that comes from knowing others are walking through the same curriculum at the same time.

Why Community Changes Everything

Our current community offering, FLOURISH, is a twelve-month integration space where you get access to everything – all the foundational modules, all the curriculum, the whole kit and caboodle. And some women come in and absolutely thrive with that self-directed structure. They watch the videos, they dive in, and it’s like they’ve been there all along.

But others come in excited with all the intentions, and then struggle to carve out the time to get that foundational understanding. They show up to calls but feel a bit behind. There’s a gap.

And I get it. Because we can all listen to things on three times speed in the background while doing dishes and thinking about seventeen other things, but we’re not really getting that information. We’re definitely not integrating it into our lives.

Integration happens when you actually pause and ask: What did I learn? What do I think about what I learned? How am I going to walk forward and integrate this in my body and my habits?

That’s why we’re bringing back the cohort model. Because the bonds built in those original groups made it more fun, more motivating, and infinitely more effective.

Introducing Mothering Ourselves Mindfully

The program is no longer called Mothering Oneself Mindfully. It’s now Mothering Ourselves Mindfully – and that shift from “oneself” to “ourselves” is deeply intentional and powerful. (I’ve recorded podcasts about this if you want to dive deeper into why that matters.)

This is your entry point into the School of Mom. Think of it as freshman year – you start with your cohort of people, and you’re all learning together.

Here’s what to expect:

Nine weeks starting February 2026 with live teaching from me on the foundational components: mindfulness, self-compassion, and nervous system foundations. Yes, you’ll get access to all the modules, but I’ll be teaching live so you can learn it live and actually do it.

Small groups where you can reflect, integrate, ask questions, and bring the teachings to life. Because that’s where the real learning happens.

A community of women walking through this together, creating bonds and accountability that will carry you through.

The School of Mom isn’t here to dump more information at people. We’re here to help you integrate and actually become the human you’re thinking about being – the one you have the tools to be but maybe lack the accountability and support to embody.

This Is for You If…

You’ve been following the School of MOM but weren’t sure where to enter. You’ve been ready and waiting to begin your journey but needed the right structure. You know yourself well enough to know you need live support and community to actually integrate this work. You’re done with collecting more information and ready to embody transformation.

The women who have been with me from the beginning – I’m so grateful for you. And I’m inviting you to share this opportunity with women in your life who have been asking “what’s that thing you do?” Because this is their moment to begin.

For alumni who’ve done programs with me before: there’s an opportunity to come back and begin again. You’re different now. I’m different now. The teachings have evolved. And as past participants have shared, each time deepens the understanding in profound ways.

I’m grinning as I finish writing this because it just makes so much sense. It’s my own “of course” moment. We’re creating the structure that honors how transformation actually happens – not through information consumption, but through integration in community.

Welcome home.
